We are down to the final week of school for the 23/24 school year. There are many activities for students in the coming week. We want all students to be able to participate in these activities. Please encourage your child to make good choices every day so they may participate. Students must continue to earn the right to participate. Negative behavior incidents may disqualify your student from being able to enjoy these fun events.
MAP testing went well. We are completely finished. The kids did a fantastic job of taking testing seriously, the teachers did a fantastic job of preparing the students and you all did a fantastic job of having your child here on time and ready to take the test! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT OF YOUR CHILD AND THE SUPPORT OF YOUR SCHOOL!! If children see that school is important to parents, it will be important to them as well. Thanks again!
Please check your students lunch account balance and make payments in the coming week. The balance of your account, whether positive or negative, does roll over to the next school year. Eighth grade students with a positive balance will be notified and will either be issued a check back for the amount of their credit or it can be transferred to a sibling if you choose to do so.
We are so close to hitting our attendance goal for the year as set by the state’s accountability measures. Please be sure to have your kids to school each day next week so they can participate in all of the planned activities. Below is a schedule of activities for the coming week.

8th Gr. Banquet – 6:00 PM in the cafeteria
Tuesday, May 7th – Field Day – 1:00 PM to 3:15 PM – Parents may attend field day to watch their student participate. Please sign in to the office upon arrival.
8th Gr. Graduation – 7:00 PM in the gym
Wednesday, May 8th – Reading Counts Reward
7/8 Gr. Field Trip
Thursday, May 9th – K-6 Field Trip Day. Contact your child’s teacher if you have questions about their day
Friday, May 10th – LAST DAY OF SCHOOL – Normal 3:35 dismissal.

1st-2nd gr. Awards Ceremony – 12:30-1:00
3rd-5th gr. Awards Ceremony – 1:15-2:00
6th-7th gr. Awards Ceremony – 2:15-3:00
*Kindergarten graduation and all awards ceremonies will be held in the gym. We ask that you enter the gym directly through the gym door at the back of the parking lot*
