The Green Forest Board of Education approved the calendar for the 25/26 school year. This calendar is created in cooperation with the other Dent County districts in an effort to match as much as possible. The calendar also exceeds the number of hours required for inclement weather make up days. This means that the calendar is locked and will not change regardless of the number of days missed due to inclement weather in 25/26. We believe that this allows families to schedule vacations and other travel in advance by knowing for sure the days we will be in session or not in session for various holidays and teacher professional development during the year.
