Picture retakes and photos for cheer and basketball grades 4-8 will be on October 28. See the photos for more information. Contact your student's teacher or come by the office if your student needs their picture retaken and to receive an order form.

Book Fair is this week. Remember it will also be open during our Escape Room Parent Event on the 8th from 5:30-7 PM.

If you have loved a veteran, please email photos to Ms. Wilson. She'd prefer a photo of the veteran in military attire, and she would also love a more current photo of your veteran (can include family or friends). Please send photos to bwilson@gfr2.k12.mo.us by October 31, 2024. Please include veteran's name, branch of service, years served, etc.

Smile Mobile is picking up forms on Wednesday from the school. Please have yours turned in prior to that if you haven't already. You may also sign up online. They will be here on Monday to begin seeing those who have signed up. If you have questions please contact the office. Go Mustangs!
The main school phone line (3902) is currently not working. Our other two lines (9412 and 2452) do have a dial tone but it is mixed with some heavy static. We hope to have them all back up and going soon. Go Mustangs.
There has been a lot of rain overnight in some places. Our bus drivers will not cross any amount of water over the roadways. If you live past a low water crossing it is possible that the bus will be unable to make it to your stop. Go mustangs.
Today at approximately noon, we had a fire alarm malfunction which resulted in the alarm sounding. We followed our fire evacuation procedure until we could verify the alarm. Students and staff evacuated the building efficiently and effectively just as we have practiced during our drills. This was a malfunctioning alarm and no danger was present at any time. Once we had evidence of a false alarm, the students and staff returned to the building and continued exploring, growing and learning.
There will be no school at Green Forest on Monday, September 16, 2024! We will be back on Tuesday ready to explore, learn and grow!
